Project description:

Logomo Artists: Volume 1 was the first joint exhibition of visual artists working in Logomo, Turku’s renowned cultural and creative cluster. Curated and organized by Ville Laaksonen, the exhibition presented a cross-section of artistic practices emerging from this interdisciplinary environment, highlighting the dialogue between visual art, design, and entrepreneurship.

Opening on 22 September 2016, the exhibition took place within Logomo Byrå, coinciding with a larger pop-up event co-organized by Logomo and Martela in collaboration with the companies based in the building. The event showcased Martela Outlet’s “Waste Nothing” concept, featuring recycled and refurbished office furniture, alongside presentations by creative businesses such as Plantui, Naturvention, Pokko, Friendtex, Belightful, and Mum’s.

The second floor of Logomo Byrå was dedicated entirely to visual art, with works expanding into surrounding spaces and creating intersections between art and everyday life. The exhibition reflected on the intermediate space between artistic production and business culture, where contemporary art becomes a living interface for collaboration, sustainability, and creative experimentation.
